Rebecca Moody is Assistant Teaching Professor of philosophy and religion at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, MA. Her research interests reside at the intersection of religion, cultural studies, feminist theory, film theory and affect theory; she uses this interdisciplinary axis to explore visual representations of women’s bodies. Moody is currently working on her first book: a look at filmic representations of Moroccan women in recent fiction film by Moroccan women filmmakers, work that grew out of her experiences living and working in Fes, Morocco. She has an MA and PhD in religion from Syracuse University and an MA in women’s and gender studies from The University of Texas at Austin. She is also a contributing editor for Jugaad: A Material Religions Project blog.
