Jodi Shaw is a doctoral candidate in Religion at the University of Florida. She has an M.A. in Theology from Loyola Marymount University and a BFA in acting from New York University’s Tish School of the Arts. She is currently working on her dissertation entitled The Goddess and Dancing Śiva in the Multiple Ritual Worlds of Cidambaram. Jodi’s 2018-2019 research in Chidambaram will focus on gathering the versions/interpretations of the Goddess stories told by people who are generally left out of the historical archives, particularly women.
